Announcing: The Character of the Blessed Messenger ﷺ -- March 29-31Introduction
The Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) is reported to have said, "None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his father, his progeny, and all of mankind." Undoubtedly, to love the Messenger of God ﷺ and follow his example, is an essential part of our faith. In these times, the personality and greatness of the Chosen One may seem distant from our lives, and while it is common to read and study the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, less often are we presented with an opportunity to study his exalted characteristics, which can open our minds and hearts to a greater understanding of reality of the Blessed Messenger ﷺ, thereby enhancing our love for him ﷺ. The CMC and MEC Special Events Committee are honored to present a multipart seminar series, dedicated to the study of the characteristics and character of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, with Shaykh Samer al-Nass, an esteemed scholar from Damascus, Syria, with extensive teaching experience in the United Kingdom and United States, and the Arab world. The Shaykh will guide us through a discussion of the Prophet's physical, intellectual and spiritual characteristics, as depicted in a beautifully translated book, Our Master Muhammad: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, by Imam Abdullah Sirajuddin al-Husayni. Over the course of several seminars, God willing, we hope to study this text in detail and draw upon the Shaykh's deep knowledge to strengthen our understanding. March 29, 30, and 31 Seminar We will continue on this journey on March 29-31th at the Muslim Educational Center (MEC) in Morton Grove, IL, continuing the study of the physical attributes of the Blessed Messenger ﷺ. Perhaps through this course of study we can increase our love for the Messenger of God ﷺ, who gave us the most wonderful of news: that on the Day of Reckoning, "A person will be with whom he loves." |

Shaykh Samer al-Nass of Damascus, Syria, is one of the foremost Islamic Scholars of our time, with a wide mastery of subjects including the four schools of thought in Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and the 10 modes of recitation of the Holy Quran.
